An internationally recognized orthopaedic pioneer and inventor or one of the most commonly used devices for the treatment of hip fractures worldwide, Dr. Eugene L. Jewett founded Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic in 1936.

Because of his medical accomplishments, Dr. Jewett's philosophy of care left behind a legacy with the Clinic he founded. His innovative spirit has served as a guiding force, inspiring many Jewett physicians to introduce new technologies and treatments to improve the care provided to patients in Central Florida and throughout the world.

Cutting Edge Non-Surgical Options

As Central Florida has spanned into outlying areas, Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic has adjusted in order to better serve the community.  Most recently, Jewett has expanded to locations in East Orlando and Lake Mary.

Walk-In Clinics

With two locations, in Winter Park and Lake Mary, Jewett recognizes that nothing is more disconcerting than to step off a curb and feeling severe pain, or getting a call that your child has fallen in the park and has possibly broken a bone.  The Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic was one of the first in the Country to establish an orthopaedic walk-in clinic.  “The Convenient Care Clinic allows for our patients to get quick resolve to the issue with proper care, no wait, and a significant cost savings in comparison to the emergency room.” Says Charles May, CEO.

Seeing more than 140,000 patient visits a year, Jewett's health care team is one of the most respected and experienced in the Southeast. All Jewett physicians are board certified or board eligible as well as fellowship trained, and each sub-specializes in at least one area such as total joint replacement or sports medicine.
